Edwin Magidimisha
Magidimisha’s research interests lie in atmospheric and radiative transfer modelling, optical testing, optical system analysis and evaluation. He is trained in radiometry and knows infrared, electronic warfare systems and evaluation.
Full Profile
Magidimisha holds an MSc degree in Space Physics from North-West University. He joined the CSIR in 2014 and has worked in atmospheric and radiative transfer studies, infrared and electronic warfare, radiometry and modelling. He has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed papers in radiometry and atmospheric physics. He has also worked on the development of an optical imaging system prototype for the detection of wildland vegetation fires, which was launched in December 2018 on-board the ZACUBE-2 satellite.
