De Wet’s key competencies are integrated development planning, strategic environmental and sustainability assessment, facilitating the development of sustainability thinking and prospective planning for sustainability, and the integration of learning and information into transdisciplinary research, development and planning processes.
Van Reenen’s research interests are in indoor environment quality with a focus on acoustics, particularly in healthcare and education settings, the design and maintenance of healthcare facilities, and green building design application.
Newman’s research interests lie in the definition of baseline concentrations for metals in sediment in southern African coastal waters and assessing water and sediment quality in ports.
Walters’ key competencies are in environmental chemistry, ecotoxicology, aquatic toxicology and water quality monitoring and evaluation.
