Nonhlanhla Ramashala
Nonhlanhla Ramashala’s research interest is in developing affordable and high-efficiency nanomaterials with a specific focus on energy storage.
Full Profile
Nonhlanhla Ramashala holds an MTech degree in chemistry from the Tshwane University of Technology. She joined the CSIR in 2007, and her work focuses on the development of affordable and high-efficiency nanomaterials for energy conversion and storage technology for fuel cells, dye solar cells, and lithium-ion batteries. She mentors and supports in-service trainees, students, and new staff members with experimental work and characterisation techniques. Ramashala has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed papers, most recently, on microwave-induced defective nano-electro catalysts for highly efficient alkaline glycerol oxidation reactions.
